Company Background
Tarina Tarantino has long since been a fan of BARBIE and her stylish, sparkling pink world ever since she was a little girl. Recently Mattel invited Tarina to create a collection of couture jewelry and accessories inspired by Barbie. For this project, she was given access to the vast archives of Barbie packaging, product artwork, and accessories from 1959 to present day. The images Tarina has chosen showcase Barbie's ever-changing signature style from past decades.
Craftsmanship
Some pieces in the collections were created to look like they were borrowed from Barbie's own jewelry box with huge pearls, sparkling Swarovski crystals, and the finest quality glittering chains and components. Life size toy-inspired purses, belts, and other accessories seem as if they were found hanging in Barbie's closet.
