Company Background The La Vie Parisienne collection by Catherine Popesco is a celebration of traditional French jewelry making. The collection orginates in old Parisian workshops that were established over two-hundred years ago. The elegant designs are rendered from the original molds that were created by the artists of the celebrated jewelry period from 1900 through the 1930's. Through Catherine Popesco's revival of the golden period of Parisian jewelry making, each La Vie Parisienne piece carries a bit of history, beauty, and wonder. Craftsmanship Catherine Popesco jewelry is made from "Old Silver," a unique French process of laying silver over a copper base. Skilled French craftswomen then carefully hand set each piece with crystals or brush them with exquisitely colored enamel and stained glass. This allows every Catherine Popesco piece to exhibit highly individual quality and uniqueness of design that reflects the art and culture of the past, while holding a valuable place in the present. |
